Using a timer for naps

A nap of 10 to 20 minutes can improve alertness without leaving you groggy. Longer naps can cause sleep inertia. Set the timer to 20 minutes and avoid napping after 3 pm so your night sleep stays on track. If you want to plan a longer rest in full sleep cycles, use the nap calculator.
